well were in to march and the snow keeps melting can’t wait till summer is here .lots of dirt starting to show

well we only have 10 inchs snow on the ground so the deer dont have to dig far to find hopefuly we will stay like this and warm up for spring will update you again soon         johnny

Well we had a good season with low snowfall this year and now that Christmas and New Years is over that means the winter is half over.

With the cold weather and not to much now the deer are having an excellent winter.  This should mean that we won’t see to much winter kill off and give us a good population for next season.

With the 2008 Fall Whitetail Season fast approaching, we are hard at work getting ready for what we believe is going to be a very good season.  Both Johnny and Bobby have been in camp for a while setting up stands, putting out bait and getting ready for the arrival of our firsts guests.

They have reported back to me that they, along with some locals they have been talking with have been seeing more and larger bucks than they have for a number of years.  This has got us excited and we are really looking forward to seeing everyone in camp for a great season.

For most of our hunters the 2008 Bear season was very successful! Fortunately the bugs weren’t as bad this spring. Our chef “Bertha” once again outdid herself and most people in camp left a few pound heavier.  Johnny and Bobby are now busy in the bush preparing for fall deer season.  We still have a few spots available, if you are interested give us a call (540) 430-3070.

Spring bear season is coming up fast and we have been very hard at work getting ready! We have been out baiting so that as the bears wake we can draw them towards stands.  The weather is warming and is steadily snow melting.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone who is coming to hunt.  If you haven’t booked already we only have a few more spots, give us a call today!

They say time flies and we have certainly experienced that this summer! PJ, Bobby and Johnny have been busy at camp and soon we will have NEW camp photos of all the hard work they have done from painting to adding on to the shop, even sprucing up the Guides bunkhouse and remodeling the dining hall and lots more. (You won’t believe how the kitchen and dining room looks now!)

I’ve been hard at work with our web developer getting our new sight up and running. There will be some tweaks to make and additional information to ad (like Ted’s new SLED LAKE EXPRESS SHUTTLE SERVICE). The newest addition to the site is our camp journal where each day Johnny and Bobby can update what happened in camp and post pictures so everyone back home can feel like they are in camp with you on your hunt.
